There’s been one thing that has been consistent over the course of my career – the fans. I feel blessed that they have supported me for the past twenty years, enabling me to build my career as a musician and artist. My Amplifi channel is about extending this relationship to create a shared experience between you and me. I’ll be posting special songs (everything from work-in-progress demos to cover songs), we’ll join in conversations about music and the creative process and much, much more.
I welcome you to join me on my musical journey. See you out on the American highway!
I wrote this in the past couple months. All of the verses were written in the car as I was driving round the country. The end of the trip landed me in Nashville, and I pulled this out with and finished a chorus with Kristian Bush.
I'm proud of this one, it may be among the very best of my story songs. In the week I wrote this, I wrote 5 other songs. When my life slows down enough to focus without the distractions of shows, traveling, fatherhood, relationship maintaining etc, I get a ton done. In my dream of dreams I commit one week a month (seven days) to writing and kids. And see if I can't put together 6 six songs that might be strays from all the other weeks. Sometimes I feel like a machine, but I like the clackety clack of that. Every song puts food on the table and gas in the car. I make songs. It's my widget. It's commerce. It's industry. It's folk music.

Hey EP...with 2016 being a dark year for music, I'm sure I'm not the first to ask, on "All My Heroes Were Junkies", is there a real life "Tony"? & is he still around?

Ok...no one has started anything here....so, here is a question for fellow EP fans... When/where were you first introduced to Ellis Paul's Music? -Me: At a private backyard party in West Jefferson, OH August 2013. Don Con played with him...Blew me away! Opened up a new door for me....!
